Chisso Engineering and BARTEC conclude cooperation agreement for
Electrical Trace Heating

BARTEC, one of the leaders in electrical trace heating, is now cooperating with Chisso Engineering. The Japanese company is the inventor of the SECT technology and technological leader in that field.

The cooperation will perfectly complement the BARTEC electrical trace heating product portfolio. Using the Skin Electric Current Tracing - short SECT - technology, the company now has the possibility to offer an economical solution also for the heating of longer pipelines. Skin Effect is the perfect solution for pipelines with a length of 2 kilometres and more.

BARTEC and Chisso Engineering are a perfect match also on their respective home markets. BARTEC disposes of a wide sales network for electrical trace heating in Europe and will be able to open new market potentials through the SECT solutions. The company's target is to extend their market position especially in Europe. Chisso Engineering is a well-established sales partner for electrical trace heating in Japan and intends to market the joint product portfolio mostly in Japan itself.

First technical training seminars on the SECT technology were held shortly after the conclusion of the cooperation agreement. In-house training at Chisso Engineering on the comprehensive BARTEC product portfolio will follow. Common projects were started right away. Today BARTEC and Chisso are cooperating on an international basis.
